We’re so glad that this reptile doesn’t move.
A a giant monitor “lizard” sculpted from a fallen Acacia tree greets tourists arriving at the Puerto Princesa International Airport.
According to airport tricycle drivers, tourists enjoy taking a selfie with the town’s new attraction.

“The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) explained that the initial plan was to sculpt either a Palawan peacock pheasant, a crocodile or a dinosaur,” ABS-CBN news reports.
CAAP went ahead with the lizard plan because it provides a sneak peak of what’s in store for Puerto Princesa tourists.
Monitor lizards are attractions in Puerto Princesa Underground River in Palawan.
If, however, you find yourself wanting to see a fat lizard humping a house door, perhaps you should go visit Selena in Samutprakarn, Thailand.
