Effective today, July 23, the National Capital Region (NCR) has been placed back under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions until at least July 31, 2021.
Under these new-old rules, children five to seventeen years old will not be allowed out again, just two weeks after they were again permitted to be in some outdoor areas. All the other IATF rules will be in effect as the last time, under IATF Resolution No. 125 (s.2021).
Also under GCQ with heightened restrictions are the provinces of Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur, Davao de Oro and Davao del Norte.
It was also announced that Malaysia and Thailand are now on the travel ban list, joining Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates. Travelers coming from these countries are barred from entering the Philippines due to concerns over the Delta variant. All other incoming international travelers are still required to follow testing and quarantine protocols.
