Free the Bansil Sisters Alliance is holding a fundraiser at B-Side in Makati, on Thursday, August 8.
It’s yet unclear who will be playing, but they promise “various indie artists.” At this point, though, the line up is essentially irrelevant since it’s for a cause.
Nadjoua and Linda Bansil were filming a documentary when abducted in Patikul town in Sulu on June 22.
The sisters had been producing “films based on issues on human rights, the Moro culture and extractive industries such as mining,” the Peace and Conflict Journalism Network, of which the Bansils are members, said after the abduction.
The group added the Bansil sisters “are Moro women concerned for the plight and preservation of the culture of the Moro people.”
