Friends of Pinay photographer raising funds for her breast cancer treatment

If you’re going to do a good deed today, let this be it!

A Pinay photographer who has made Guam, Saipan and the rest of them Marianas Islands take notice of Filipino talent needs help.

Her name is Jacqueline Hernandez and for years, she had Guam and Saipan and the Mariana Islands take notice of Philippine talent as a photojournalist for Marianas Variety and Saipan Tribune. She now works for Manila Bulletin.

She was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer and needs financial assistance. Friends have set up an Indiegogo campaign with the goal of raising US$3,000 by November 23.

“Her condition is curable, but only with aggressive (and expensive) treatment. She is facing a mountain of medical bills and she needs all the help she can get…We want her back out in the field with her camera as quickly as possible.”

There is also a fundraising event on Nov 29 in Makati where she will be selling her works.
