Free WiFi for public use at Quezon Memorial Circle starting Jul 24

According to the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Quezon City Memorial Circle will have free WiFi Internet access that’s open to the public starting Jul 24.

“DOST Undersecrtary Louis Napolen Casambre said the WiFi connection at the 22.70-hectare park will be switched on during the National Science and Techonology Week (NSTW), which runs from July 24 to 28,” reports Edd K. Usman in Manila Bulletin.

The free  WiFi at the Quezon Memorial Circle is part of the DOST’s PHP1.408-billion free WiFi project.

Ultimately, DOST plans to put up 7,000 Wi-Fi hotspots in 967 municipalities and 43 cities nationwide.
