Fr. Bobby Titco—the parish priest of the San Jose Manggagawa Parish Church in Tondo, Manila—announced that on May 1 babies named Joseph or any of its variants such as Jose, Josefa, Josefina, and Josephine will be christened free of charge in honor of the saint’s feast day.
“The Catholic Church celebrates the feast of St. Joseph the Worker on May 1 which is also Labor Day,” reports Jocelyn R. Uy in Philippine Daily Inquirer.
