Former NBI agent, John Herra, 44, was shot dead Saturday morning at the Republic Fitness Gym on General Malvar Streeet in Makati.
A lone gunman shot Herra a total of four times, two of these were to the head. According to witnesses, Herra was a regular at the gym as he lived nearby. He came to the gym at around 8:30 a.m. and started working out.
The assailant entered later, and chatted with Herra asking for tips on working out. After 30 minutes, the suspect pulled out a gun from a brown paper bag and killed Herra. The suspect then fled the gym. The eyewitness was not able to see whether there was a getaway vehicle. Police are still investigating the motive for the killing, The Philippine Star reported.
