A 24-year-old former men’s magazine model was arrested by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Wednesday afternoon in a buy-bust drug operation in Taytay, Rizal.

PDEA officer-in-charge Gregorio Pimentel told the media this morning that Charlene “Cindy” Mecayer was nabbed at around 4:30 pm in her apartment at Greenwoods Executive Village for allegedly peddling illegal drugs, Inquirer Bandera reports.

The model and event organizer was arrested after undercover operatives attempted to buy meth and ecstasy from her, Radyo Inquirer reports.

Authorities said it seized an estimated PHP68,000 (US$1,334) worth of meth, three ecstasy tablets worth PHP4,500 (US$88), and various drug paraphernalia from Mecayer, GMA News reports.

Mecayer appeared on the 2013 issue of the now-defunct men’s magazine FHM Philippines.

She will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
