Former Ang TV actor CJ Ramos was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation on Tuesday in Quezon City.
Metro Manila police chief Guillermo Eleazar told reporters in a media briefing today that Ramos was nabbed after buying illegal drugs in Tandang Sora. The police suspected that the drugs he bought was shabu (methamphetamine).
GMA News reported that Ramos admitted to the crime. “I really just got tempted,” he said in Filipino, sharing that the drug is “highly-addictive.” He also stated that he used it due to “personal problems”.
Ramos told CNN Philippines that he was doing laundry the night he was caught. He added that he gets his money to buy illegal drugs from his parents. He stated that he has been jobless since he left showbiz.
According to CNN Philippines, he also apologized to his mother. “I feel regret now that it’s too late,” he shared in Filipino.
Ramos is unaware of other celebrities who are also into illegal drugs.
Ramos was in a few movies including the drama Tanging Yaman in 2000.
