Former carwash attendant tries to steal a car

Obviously, his career shift didn’t go too well.

“At around 8pm on Tuesday, Feb 4, former carwash attendant Bryan Quinio, 29, was arrested after he allegedly used a duplicate key to open and drive off a black Toyota Corolla from the a Quezon City mall’s parking building,” reports Reinir Padua in The Philippine Star.

According to the report, the car’s owner, Kim Paulo Dimaano, had parked his Corolla on the fourth level of the parking building on Tuesday afternoon. When he returned to his car, he caught Quinio inside it.

Dimaano immediately called the attention of the mall’s security guards. Later, the police came to take Quinio into custody.

Police later found out that Quinio had also stolen some items from another car parked in the same area earlier that night. Quinio had with him a portable playstation and a black wallet with identification cards under the name of Silveriano Villanueva III.

The report revealed that Villanueva had reported the loss to the mall guards as well. He was advised to go to Quezon City Police District’s Station 2, where Quinio was taken.
