Three people were hurt after a sports utility vehicle (SUV) driven by a former mayor crashed into a bank in Marilao, Bulacan today.

Authorities have identified the driver of the white Audi SUV as Epifanio Villamar Guillermo, 83, a former mayor of Marilao. Guillermo was trying to park his vehicle in front of BDO bank branch in the village of Abangan Norte at around 10am when he lost control of the SUV, reported SunStar Manila.

The vehicle went through the bank’s glass door and stopped when it smashed the teller’s booth, reported DZMM. Two of the bank’s security guards were hurt, as well as one client who was withdrawing money from an automated teller machine.

All three of them were rushed to Marilao’s St. Michael Family Hospital, reported The Philippine Daily Inquirer.
