Just recently, Paris had to remove the famous “love locks” that had weighed down the city’s Pont des Arts bridge.
But while the lovers who padlocked their love at the Paris bridge were dismayed, Metro Manila “love locks” have only increased.
Little did we know that at Baclaran Church, which is formally known as The National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, churchgoers have been leaving “love locks” as well in front of a statue of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux or Santa Teresita as she is locally called. —from a TV Patrol report
