The Mayweather gabfest has resumed as Manny Pacquiao tries to sort out his tax problems with the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
“In the eyes of Floyd Mayweather Sr, the recent win by Pacquiao over Brandon Rios in Macau meant nothing to enhance the chances of seeing a super showdown between Pacquiao and son Floyd Jr. to happen in the foreseeable future,” reports Nick Giongco in Manila Bulletin.
Quoting an interview online, Floyd Sr dismissed the skills of Rios, then sympathized with the fighter for standing up to a “comedy act.”
If his son, the undefeated Floyd Jr, fought Rios, the latter would have suffered a humiliating defeat, the elder Mayweather said.
As far as Floyd Sr is concerned, Pacquiao still isn’t ready to fight someone like his son, who remains undefeated in over 40 fights.
