Caloocan City police have arrested Richard Villanueva, as the suspect in a chemical tank leak which hospitalized five residents of Bagong Barrio.
The victims were identified as Efren Villanueva, 39; Abdullah Limpasan, 33; John Bel Reyes, 21. A six-year-old girl and a 16 year-old boy were also brought to the hospital on Sunday afternoon. All except the 16 year-old have been released by the hospital.
According to reports, Richard Villanueva, along with three still unidentified accomplices, allegedly opened an abandoned chemical tank. The leaking chemicals caused vomiting, breathing difficulties, and dizziness in the victims.
The police have not yet identified the chemicals stored in the tank, the Philippine Star reported.
