A fisherman from Palawan was rescued Friday near Dalagang Bukid Shoal in the West Philippine Sea after being adrift for 3 days.

According to Western Command (Wescom), a small boat manned by Albert Carcuevas, 33, encountered engine trouble.

The boat drifted towards the West Philippine Sea and Carcuevas stayed aboard his boat for the past three days without food and water.

The fisherman is now in stable condition at Ayungin Shoal.

Wescom said it will ensure Carcuevas’ safe return to his family in Palawan.
