“According to the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), fish kill hit Valenzuela City in the wake of the onslaught of Tropical Storm Mario—with about 1 ton of tilapia dead in Barangay Malanday,’ reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
The report noted: “BFAR personnel have been sent to the area to get water samples from the affected fish farms.”
