It’s official: We haven’t learned our lesson.
“On Monday, Dec 30, Department of Health (DOH) Assistant Secreatry Eric Tayag revealed that the number of firework-related injuries has increased to 244,” reports Louis Bacani on Philstar.com. Around 153 cases involved the prohibited firecracker “piccolo.”
Five stray bullet cases have also been recorded as of 6am today. But Tayag says “the number of injuries related to the New Year revelries remains lower than that of 2012.”
Somehow, we really shouldn’t be so happy about that.
