Fire broke out at a power substation in Urdaneta Village near the central business district in Makati City Saturday afternoon, prompting a partial road closure in the area.
As of 2:37 p.m., the fire, which could be seen on the southbound lane of EDSA, has been raised to the second alarm, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

A substation of the Manila Electric Corporation is reported to be affected by the fire.
As of posting time, the service road going south along EDSA towards Ayala Avenue is not passable to vehicles, the MMDA said.
