Fire hits Chinese General Hospital’s new building

The good thing is that there were no casualties.

“At around 7:18pm on Wednesday, July 23, fire hit a new building of Chinese General Hospital along Blumentritt Street in Sta. Cruz, Manila,” reports dzMM correspondent Zhander Cayabyab on ABS-CBNnews.com.

According to Supt. Jaime Fernandez, Manila Fire Marshall, the fire started at the electrical room in the ground floor of the new building.

The report noted: “The fire caused power shortage in the building, and patients in the upper levels of the building had to be relocated.”

Fortunately, the fire was put out by 8:05 p.m.
