Fire hit a building inside the compound of the University of Santo Tomas in Manila on Sunday night. Based on initial information from the Manila Fire Department, the fire broke out around 9:12pm.
At around 9:19pm, the fire was raised to third alarm. Fourth alarm was raised around 9:26 p.m.
In an official statement, UST said the building in question was the St. Raymund de Peñafort building — referred to as the Commerce building.
“The fire has been completely extinguished, and the cause is currently being determined.”
The university also thanked the responders from the Bureau of Fire (BFP), as well as the volunteers who helped in fighting the fire.
