Fire hits BGC condo

Luckily, nobody was hurt.

“A fire of still unknown origin struck the Fort Victoria Tower B condominium at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig at around 6pm on Tuesday, Feb 25,” reports Mike Frialde on Philstar.com.

The report said “thick black smoke prevented responding firefighters from Pasig , Taguig and other areas from entering the building.”

According to the responding firefighters, the blaze most likely started in the condo’s garbage chute. The building—which is located at 5th Ave. corner 23rd Street—was pretty much unoccupied. Only several construction workers doing work inside the condo were evacuated by emergency responders.

The fire, which reached the fourth alarm, was declared out by 6:47pm.
