What caused the blaze?
“According to Fire Supt. Jesus Fernandez of the Quezon City Fire Department, a fire started at the Banapple branch in Katipunan Avenue around 9:10 p.m. on Thursday, March 5,” reports Zandro Ochona on ABS-CBNnews.com.
The report noted: “The fire was declared under control by 9:45 p.m., and was put out by 9:56 p.m. There were casualties or injuries.”
As expected, the fire “caused heavy traffic in the area, as fire trucks used up most of the space in the northbound lane of Katipunan Avenue.”
