Let’s hope nobody is hurt.

“Victory Central Mall along Rizal Avenue Extension, Monumento, Caloocan City is still under fire and was declared under task force alpha after a fire broke out at around 9 a.m. on Monday, May 4,” reports Rosette Adel on Philstar.com.

The report noted: “Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) immediately raised the fire alert to the third level when the blaze started.” However, as of 2:20pm, it reached task force alpha or the highest fire alert level.

According to BFP-NCR officials, the fire allegedly started at the second level of a fast food chain in the mall.

Reports explain that “firefighters are having a hard time controlling the fire due to the thick smoke.”

Rizal Avenue was closed to motorists while the operation of Victory Liner was also affected since the fire trucks were parked in the vicinity of the bus terminal.
