Fire breaks out at UST hospital

Ironically, March is Fire Prevention Month.

“Sometime before noon on Tuesday, Mar 4, fire broke out at the University of Sto. Tomas Hospital in Manila,” reports Dennis Carcamo on Philstar.com.

According to radio reports, “the blaze started at the portion of the laboratory room of the UST outpatient department at the 6th floor of the building in Sampaloc, Manila.”

Fortunately, the blaze was swiftly put under control by responding firefighters, who had also evacuated medical personnel and patients from the area.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
