Fire breaks out in GMA Network’s cafeteria in Quezon City

A fire broke out in the cafeteria of the media company GMA Network in Quezon City early this morning.

The fire started at around 11:31am and ended at 11:45am, according to The Philippine Daily Inquirer. The Quezon City Fire Department is currently investigating the cause.

No one was injured or killed during the incident, ABS-CBN News reports.

In a statement released today, GMA said that its employees “were immediately evacuated to ensure their safety and are now going back to their respective offices to resume normal operations.” However, it did not explain how the fire started.

GMA is the producer of TV shows such as Wowowin, 24 Oras (“24 Hours”), Bubble Gang, and Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (“One Heart, with Jessica Soho”).

It also owns the radio station DZBB and the news website GMA News.
