Now, this is weird.
“A small fire caused by discarded cigarette butts has hit the Court of Appeals (CA) in Ermita, Manila Thursday afternoon, Feb 13,” reports the Leonard D. Postrado on Manila Bulletin Online.
According to Senior Fire Officer 3 John Joseph Jalique of the Manila Fire Department, “nobody was hurt in the fire incident that started at 1:34pm.”
The blaze—which reportedly started inside a storage area in between the personnel’s office of the Centennial Building and Annex 6 Building—reached first alarm before it was finally put out at 1:49pm. The discarded cigarette butts ignited a pile of rubbish in the area.
