Fire in Barangay Doña Imelda, QC leaves 100 families homeless

Fortunately, no casualties were reported. Only a 53-year-old resident named Carlito Ande fainted after his blood pressure shot up.

“Around 100 families were rendered homeless on Monday, November 3, after fire gutted 60 homes in a residential area in Quezon City,” reports Dennis Carcamo on Philstar.com.

Initial reports said the blaze started around 7am inside the house of a certain Mildred Sanchez on Kapiligan Street in Barangay Doña Imelda. An unattended lit candle was said to be the cause of the fire.

Firefighters managed to put out the flames at around 9 am.
