“Pasinaya” is the Tagalog word for first experience, and first-time goers to Pasinaya Festival are guaranteed to enjoy themselves at this annual open house shindig of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
Expect performances from 3,000 artists, many of them bussing in from their respective campuses, communities, and cultural organizations.
And if you’re a little clueless about homegrown art, there are workshops, seminars, and lectures to fill you in.
There’s also a film festival, balagtasan, Filipino dance, theater, music, puppetry, poetry readings and visual design.
Take a break from TV and shut down your iPad. Time for a change to try something new — and live.
Pasinaya Festival 2016 is on Feb 7, 8am onwards, at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. For more information call +63 2 8321125.
