Vice President Leni Robredo officially announced today that she is running for president in the 2022 elections, ending a lengthy decision-making process and months of speculation.
Supporters of the Vice President have just the right color to mark the occasion: pink.
Social media was flooded with netizens in pink as an online movement surfaced a day ahead encouraging supporters to wear the color, in honor of Robredo’s “big announcement.”
Robredo was first nominated by 1Sambayan to be its standard-bearer, an opposition coalition group composed of a broad range of pro-democracy forces.
