Less than 24 hours after making her “filthy maid” comment on Facebook, a certain Devina DeDiva surely must feel the Filipinos’s anger. “Miss Philippines is Miss World? What a joke. I did not know those maids have anything else in them,” a certain Devina DeDiva was quoted as saying. Her comment, which earned the ire of Filipinos around the world, has been screen grabbed, and made viral, triggering the emotional Filipinos to fire back at the commenter, who, according to the social media site, is affiliated with Manchester University.
DeDiva called Filipinos “poor, smelly from cleaning toilets, and uneducated.” “The account went on to call Filipina girls ‘easy,’ as she challenged commenters to air their ‘baseless opinions,'” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
As we are known to do, Filipinos cried foul over the nasty comments. Some even took action: a search for “DeDiva” on Facebook yields three immediate results, with this Devina DeDiva, categorized as a “pet” page, as the top result. It now has over 8,000 likes.
