If your face is on a stamp, you must be doing something right.

The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) has released a special line of stamps featuring three Filipino athletes who have won medals in the Olympics. Boxers Anthony Villanueva and Onyok Velasco, and weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz are all silver medalists who brought honor to the country.

The stamps feature the images of the athletes showing their respective medals. Each stamp costs PHP12.

It may be recalled that sports darling Hidilyn Diaz last year broke the country’s 20-year Olympics jinx after winning the silver medal in the 53-kg division of weightlifting. She is the first Filipina to ever win a medal in the Olympics.

Ahthony Villanueva was the very first Filipino athlete to win a silver medal at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. Fellow boxer echoed his achievement in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.

Villanueva, Diaz, and Velsaco join the ranks of other Filipinos who have their own stamps such as boxer Manny Pacquiao and beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach.
