A 33-year-old Filipino woman living in Kowloon District, Hongkong was arrested by authorities on Fri after she left her two children for more than 12 hours in their subdivided flat to have drinks.
The woman’s neighbor found her 5-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter crying by the window of their flat at Cheung Sha Wan Road at 9:00 am on Friday morning, Mar 3.
The woman returned home about 10 am Friday, and she was promptly arrested by police authorities.
According to Asia Times, the woman left their home after her kids had gone to bed at 9 pm Thurs.
The woman is married to a Tunisian national, who was recently denied re-entry to Hongkong. She is currently unemployed.
Social Welfare workers assured that the children are safe and psychologically stable. They will be provided with childcare service.
