Dreams do come true!
One Filipino-Canadian kid became an overnight sensation when a video of him playing basketball was posted yesterday by the National Basketball Association (NBA) on Instagram. The post has become viral, and to top it off, NBA star Steph Curry also sent a special message of support to the boy.
How cool is that?
The lucky young man is Zachary Walker, a 10-year-old Filipino-Canadian who plays for the Filipino Basketball League, a team of young players based in Canada, reported ABS-CBN News.
Walker and the rest of the team were given the chance to play on Tuesday at the Toronto Raptors’ home court. The members of the team played against each other and it was Walker who stood out.

The NBA’s post went viral and has attracted almost four million views. Many netizens only had good things to say about Walker.
Naturally, people proclaimed their #Pinoypride.
Another said he was the future of the NBA.
One fan joked that the young Filipino-Canadian team could beat the Cleveland Cavaliers.
A netizen said Walker’s game got him “hyped.”
But the even more amazing thing is that Golden State Warriors’ star Steph Curry followed Walker on his Instagram account and even sent him a message.
Here’s what Curry wrote Walker: “Yo way to put in a show yesterday. Keep it up! Might have to steal a move or two from you. All love.”
Naturally, the boy was overwhelmed. Watch his reaction in this video.
Hope to see you in the NBA, kid! Filipinos will be ecstatic.
