Filed: Bill requiring NBI clearance from plastic surgery patients

This makes sense.

“Citing two recent cases of felons who have undergone cosmetic enhancements to escape authorities, Quezon Rep. Angelina Tan has filed a bill requiring patients to first secure clearance from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) before being allowed to undergo facial plastic surgery,” reports Leila B. Salaverria in Philippine Daily Inquirer.

In her explanatory note, Tan said, “The bill aims to forestall criminals from hiding their identities and (evading) arrest by requiring facial plastic surgery patients to present an NBI clearance before undergoing a procedure.”

By “facial plastic surgery,” she means “reconstructive procedures on the face as eyelid surgery, facial scar revision, forehead lifts, hair replacement, chin surgery, ear surgery, and nose lifts.”

Our question: What if you want a boob job and liposuction? No need for an NBI clearance?
