Filipino-Indian businessman Rajiv Ramesh Dargani again sent feelers to the Makati City Police that he will “surrender soon.” Dargani allegedly was involved in a hit-and-run incident where a motorcycle driver was killed.
According to Makati City Police chief Senior Superintendent Manuel Lukban he was informed that Dargani was in an unnamed hospital. He was supposedly hiding and resting from the trauma of the accident. Also according to Lukban, Dargani had earlier promised to surrender last Wednesday. His failure to do so led to filing of charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, physical injuries and abandonment of one’s victims.
Dargani has been communicating with Lukban through an emissary because of Lukban’s high standing and reputation within the Fil-Indian community, the Philippine Star reported.
