Let’s hope there’s a way for him to get back on his feet.
“Filipino-American Romeo Silerio, who used to be a warehouse worker, got lucky 22 years ago when he won US$6.9 million in the Virginia state lottery,” reports Balitang America.
The report noted: “But Silerio’s luck reportedly ran out following a divorce from his wife that split up the winnings and set spousal and child support for their three kids.”
So, last year, Silerio “entered two pleas of no contest for failing to pay his ex-wife more than US$250,000 in child and spousal support.” He’s been in jail since then.
He is set to be released in 2016.
According to the report, “Silerio doesn’t know what he will do after that because now he is dead broke.”
