Fil-Am in Guam faces probe for firing guns on New Year’s Eve

Here’s what we want to say to the Fil-Am guy in this story: Dude, you look guilty.

Guam’s police department has located Edgardo Quinit, the Filipino-American who posted videos on Facebook that show himself and other men indiscriminately firing automatic rifles around New Year’s Eve.

“In an interview with Guam News, Edgardo Quinit claimed that one of the videos was shot last year outside his home in Yigo, Guam,” reports ABS-CBN News.

However, Quinit explained that he recently got a new phone and the old videos were “accidentally uploaded” on his Facebook page. He added that he “does not live in a residential neighborhood but an agricultural area.”

However, police records show he was arrested back in 2006 in Yigo, Guam, for shooting a .45 caliber pistol twice in the air.

Guam Police Department spokesperson Officer Allan Guzman recalled the 2006 case. The report did not say, though, if Quinit was found guilty and jailed regarding the incident.
