A Filipino-American boy was born in the bathroom of an Asian marketplace in San Diego.
Francia Berberabe Cheng was not due to give birth until Jul 23.
After a prenatal checkup on Tue, Jul 14, she and her husband Paul Cheng went to have some ramen at the Mitsuwa Marketplace, the largest Japanese supermarket and food court in the US.
After a full meal, she went to the bathroom only to find out it was her baby that was ready to come out.
Paul heard her scream, rushes in, and he delivered a miracle baby boy they named “Hunter.”
An ambulance came five minutes later, just in time to cut baby Hunter’s umbilical cord.
In a Facebook post, Paul said he got to deliver his own baby on July 14 in a public restroom in San Diego in the most unique and fascinating way. He is also very grateful both his wife and baby survived the ordeal. (Read more on Balitang America.)
