FEU wins all things football at the UAAP Season 77

Congratulations to FEU for taking home the men’s, women’s and junior’s crowns in UAAP Season 77 football!

According to ABS-CBNnews.com, this is the second consecutive season that “Far Eastern University (FEU) has completed a golden treble in the UAAP football tournament.” 

Sunday night saw the Tamaraws sweep past De La Salle Archers 3-2 in extra time to retain the men’s football crown. It was “an epic Season 77 finale in front of the huge crowd at the Rizal Memorial Stadium,” notes the report.

FEU’s Jess Melliza tied the game at 2-2 at the 83rd minute, after which “Paolo Bugas netted the extra time goal.”

The report continues: “Earlier Sunday, FEU won the UAAP Season 77 women’s football after beating University of the Philippines, 2-1. They also won the juniors crown on Saturday after Mark Joseph Arranguez scored the go-ahead goal midway in the second half.” It gave the Tamaraws a 2-1 win over Ateneo de Manila.
