Fermina Bus burns in QC, rams into truck and stores

Some buses really shouldn’t be on the road anymore. Or, in this case, some drivers and conductors really shouldn’t be allowed on buses anymore.

“An Isuzu Elf truck and at least four stores were razed by fire after a burning Fermina Express bus, which was left by the driver and conductor, suddenly backed up and hit the vehicle and the establishments along Commonwealth Avenue in Barangay Old Balara, Quezon City on Thursday night,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report cited witnesses, who revealed that “the bus plying the Lagro-NAIA via Fairview route was already burning when it was abandoned by its driver and conductor sometime past 10 pm.”

One of the stores that the bus hit turned out to be a manufacturer of calendars. As such, due to the highly combustible items inside it, the blaze quickly spread in the area.

Authorities have yet to find the driver and conductor of the Fermina bus.
