What a tragedy.
 
“Tirso Carmelo Rapana — a farmer in Sitio Subait in Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte — was alerted by the barking of his dog at around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17. When he went to check, he found his neighbor Placido Enali, allegedly cutting down a bunch of bananas from his plant,” reports Thom Andrade on InterAksyon.com.

Rapana said he confronted Enali. However, he said Enali responded by drawing his bolo. Rapana panicked and drew his own bolo and proceeded to hack Enali.

The report noted: “Rapana surrendered to the town police accompanied by Renato Baguio, the village chairman.”
