“On Saturday afternoon, Feb 8, four members of a Filipino-Chinese family were injured when they were shot at by two riding-in-tandem suspects at the southbound lane of Andrews Avenue in Maricaban, Pasay City,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
The report identified the victims as businessman Minjiang Sy, 48; his wife, Kim Sham Hong, 43; and their children, Jai Mae Hong, 20, and Wesley, 6.
The family had picked up their father from the airport and were on a car on their way to Roxas Boulevard. At some point, they were blocked by a motorcycle with the two gunmen riding on it. The suspects then proceeded to fire at the family.
Police said eight slugs of a caliber .45 gun were recovered from the scene.
Minjiang got shot in the chest and right arm. Kim was shot in the head and back. They’re both in the intensive care unit (ICU) of San Juan de Dios Hospital.
Meanwhile, their kids were said to have sustained “minor injuries to their heads.” Although we can’t see anything “minor” about getting shot in the head.
The investigation is still ongoing.
