False alarm: ‘Suspicious package’ found near U.S. Embassy

Well, it’s better to be paranoid than dead.

“An object that was initially believed to be bomb was discovered near the United States (U.S.) Embassy in Manila on Monday, April 28, in time with the arrival of US President Barack Obama,” reports Manila Bulletin.

The report said that members of the Manila Police District (MPD) Bomb Squad immediately checked the “suspicious package” found behind the Bayview Park Hotel and declared that it was not a real bomb, as it only contained wires and a chip but no explosive elements whatsoever.
