“Bureau of Immigration (BI) Commissioner Siegfred Mison disclosed on Tuesday, April 15, that the agency’s operatives have arrested a certain Jennifer Ching Javier, alias ‘Jana Reyes,’ in an entrapment operation through the help of her two latest victims,” reports Ron B. Lopez in the Manila Bulletin Online.
Police revealed that Reyes reportedly operated in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and shopping malls. She targeted unsuspecting individuals by charging them as much as PHP25,000 for employment in Dubai even without necessary overseas permits.
Among her most recent victims were Arlyn Aceron, 33, and Magnolia Raga, 25, both of whom were recently offloaded from a flight bound for Dubai. Aceron paid Reyes PHP16,000 and Raga paid her PHP10,000 to process their papers.
