“On Saturday, June 28, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confiscated around P12 million worth of counterfeit bags in Pasay and Parañaque,” reports ABS-CBnnews.com.
The report said that NBI operativesfrom their NBI Intellectual Property Rights Division “raided two stalls of Wide-Eyed Merchandise, which is owned by Kai Wien Bien and Rufino Catanghal.”
The stalls—which are located inside Baclaran Terminal Plaza and in Baclaran’s Bagong Milenyo Plaza in Pasay—had a total of 5,054 counterfeit JanSport bags and 279 fake North Face bags.
The report explained: “The owners will be charged with violation of Republic Act 8283, or the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.”
