A man who went on vacation in Boracay was the subject of netizens’ amusement after a video of him working from his laptop while on a parasail made the rounds on social media.

Sales professional Denver Poria made the most out of his current work-from-home situation by traveling to one of the best beaches in the world, yet found an interesting location for remote work.

Denver told Coconuts that he took some work with him while in Boracay, and mostly worked from his phone — yet thought it would be funny if he could send his boss a video of himself sending emails from his laptop while literally vacationing.

The perfect opportunity came when he and his cousins decided to go parasailing.

Ito na ginawan ko na quote, teka hanap ako wifi signal ang bagal ng data (I already finished the client’s quote, let me just look for wi-fi signal ’cause data is so slow),” Denver jokingly wrote on his Facebook post that went viral.

“I thought of bringing my laptop because I couldn’t send a quote to our client, I just kept relaying orders through the phone,” Denver said, “Just for fun, I brought my laptop (to our parasailing activity) so I could tell my boss, ‘Here, I’m already working on the quote! I even found a way to find signal’,” referring to him hanging up in the air.

Thankfully, his boss had a sense of humor. “Minura (niya ako) muna bago tumawa, sabi niya, ‘Walang ‘ya ka talaga, hahaha’ (He swore at me before bursting into laughter and said, “You’re crazy, hahaha’.”

Although it seemed like his stunt was worth it for the laughs, Denver admitted to feeling a little nervous while being up in the air. “At first medyo kabado kasi sobrang lakas ng hangin sa taas pero sabi ko keri lang to para lang di magalit si bossing di ako nag paalam magbakasyon (At first I was a bit worried because the wind was so strong, but I told myself this was fine — just so boss wouldn’t get angry since I didn’t tell him I was going on a trip),” he said.
