This is downright horrifying!
“On Tuesday, March 10, two female graduating high school students at the St. Mark International Academy in Commonwealth, Quezon City engaged in a knife fight inside their classroom, driving their panic-stricken classmates to run out,” report Francis Wakefield and Betheena Kae Unite in Tempo.
According to the police, the two girls’ fight stemmed from status messages posted on Facebook.
The report noted: “At the height of the altercation at 7:45 a.m., one girl pulled out a three-and-a-half inch pen knife while the other girl produced a seven-inch fan knife.”
A male teacher was able to intervene before the fight got worse.
The report revealed that “one girl suffered a stab wound on her left shoulder while the other one sustained slight wounds on her finger.”
Police arrived on the scene and seized the weapons used by the students. The students’ parents were subsequently summoned at the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Batasan police station.
The two girls have reportedly made peace, but they still face possible disciplinary sanctions.
