Facebook post leads to arrest of drug pushers in Makati

Social media isn’t just for vanity shots.

The Facebook page, “Support PDEA Agent Jonathan Morales vs Drug Traffickers and Protectors” recently posted a photo of men engaged in a shabu session. The post also featured inset pictures of the mean’s head shots..

The photo came with the taglines in Filipino, which said, “This is how we are in Makati, we’re untouchables” and “Help yourself to more shabu, grandpa.”

“According to SPO1 Ching Esperazante of the Makati police anti-illegal drugs section, the post named the alleged drug users and pushers and gave their addresses,” reports Maricar B. Brizuela in Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Based on the Facebook post’s information, a buy-bust operation was organized.

The report noted: “On Friday morning, February 13, police arresed Glemalaze Ansano, 35; Glenslare Ansano, 33; Edgar Arceo, 37; Alexander Nueva, 42, and Andrew Pisco, 35; all residents of 20th and 19th Avenues in Barangay East Rembo.”

Police recovered from the five men seven sachets said to be containing shabu and PHP1,000 in marked money used by a poseur buyer.
