“Apollo Quiboloy, who heads the religious group Kingdom of Jesus Christ, said on Mon, May 23, that all is well between him and incoming President Rodrigo Duterte,” reports Nestor Corrales on Inquirer.net.
In a press briefing, Quiboloy clarified, “Hindi po ako nagtatampo kay Mayor. Patuloy ang pagkakaibigan ko kay Mayor. Ako ay patuloy na mananalangin sa success ng ating susunod na Pangulo (I don’t have ill feelings toward the mayor. My friendship with the mayor continues. I will continue to pray for the success of our next President).”
Over the weekend, Duterte had said in an interview, “My loyalty to my friend ends where my loyalty to my country begins.”
