Time to get their hands dirty.

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) enforcers who are facing administrative complaints have been ordered to help clean creeks and canals in Metro Manila while their cases are being heard.

MMDA chairman Tim Orbos said that at least 60 erring MMDA personnel will be deployed to the Flood Control and Sewerage Management Office to assist the agency in flood mitigation projects.

“They (MMDA personnel) will be working on a more productive activity while their cases are being heard,” Orbos said in a report by GMA News.

He added that the reassignment will help prevent them from influencing the investigations and possibly harassing the complainants.

Orbos added that he is thinking of sending the erring enforcers to a three-month training with the Philippine Army in Cavite to teach them discipline.

“Maybe undergoing military training would help instill values and discipline to these erring personnel,” he said.
